People at CIMNE: Meet the talent that makes it possible.
CIMNE transforms research into real-world solutions through technology transfer, protecting Intellectual Property, licensing innovations, and creating spin-offs to drive industry impact and sustainable growth.
Technology transfer is the cornerstone of CIMNE’s mission, driving the transformation of cutting-edge research into impactful solutions for industry and society.
Our approach is based on a comprehensive valorisation process that starts with the identification of promising research results and continues through the protection of intellectual property, licensing and the creation of innovative spin-offs.
A key enabler of this process is CIMNE Tecnología, our wholly-owned subsidiary, which industrialises and commercialises CIMNE’s technologies and provides essential support to spin-offs and researchers.
This unique tool allows CIMNE to create self-sustaining companies with real impact, as demonstrated by numerous successful ventures in fields ranging from engineering software to environmental solutions.
Our recently renovated Research Impact Strategy and 2024 Roadmapping —both created with input from academic and industry leaders— align CIMNE’s research priorities with societal needs and industry trends.
Our highly specialised team works across the board to foster internal and external collaborations, support entrepreneurial initiatives and continuously evaluate the societal and industrial impact of our work.
CIMNE ensures that innovation leads to sustainable growth and measurable benefits with a unique approach based on decades of technology valorisation and transfer that we put the service of our research community.
